Antique Art Deco 1920's Unusual Mahogany Drink Cocktail Cabinet Table Cellarette

Welcome to William Sharpe Antiques. Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful Art Deco mahogany drinks cabinet/cellarette, c-1920's. This unusual piece stands atop four tapered legs having original brass castors.

The body features three drawers and a fold-out drink cabinet, having felt-lined housing for four bottle and six small-based glasses. The quality of manufacture is superb, with beautifully dovetailed joins and high quality timbers used in both primary and secondary surfaces. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note. The patina is nice, but could be further enhanced with some love and attention (a few paint flecks to be removed). The hinges and locks are all present and appear in good order, but there are no keys.

The casters are all smooth, and the felt is shabby but complete. A very nice and unusual Georgian-style cabinet for the astute collector. The piece measures 54cm x 42cm as a footprint, standing 67cm tall (54cm to the lower shelf). Inspection is available on request from Ipswich, QLD (about 30 minutes south-west of Brisbane).
