Antique Art Deco Platinum Ruby Diamond Engagement Ring 1950's

His vintage 1950's platinum and ruby engagement ring. The ring features a bright red natural untreated ruby original to this setting. The ruby is most likely Burmese origin. It is cushion cut and measures 5.63 by 5.43 by 3.24 mm's with a bulging belly. 75 carat weight by formula but look at the measurements for how the size appears.

The ruby is transparent with inclusions. It has an unpolished girdle with some abrasion and some tiny cavities typical of Burmese ruby on side and underside. Nothing seen with the eye but seen under magnification. The setting is 10% iridium 90% platinum and is marked inside the band. It has six small clean diamonds flanking the ruby. Current finger size is 6.75 and this ring can be sized to fit. All items I sell are vintage and most are antique.
