ART DECO WPA Vintage Wood Block Print Lot Of 7 Some Signed 1930s Macabre

Interesting collection of religious themed and ethnic woodblock prints. Some of them are quite creepy! The largest ones measure about 7 in square. As you can see there is an ethnic themed head. A man looking through an icy window.

A heart with a needle poked into it and what looks like a wolf howling at the moon next to a skull among other things. The juxtaposition of these images with the serene religious images is jarring. These appear to be by different artists. Perhaps part of a group. I'm not sure but they are very well done and interesting. Two of the pieces have paper that is substantially yellowed and is brittle compared to the others. I estimated that these were made in the 1930s based on the style, but they may be a little earlier or a little later. Please visit our store for more high quality artwork.
